Born from a shared passion for artistry, Tykorchélli redefines modern couture by merging luxury with storytelling. Unlike fashion that merely decorates, Tykorchélli pieces breathe life into historical elegance, connecting profoundly with the wearer’s personal story. Each intricate detail promises individuality, mystery, and sophistication that transcends the ordinary. Co-founders Corie Anziano and Tyreeq Thomas set out to address a gap they perceived in contemporary fashion—a lack of storytelling that left clothing feeling disconnected from its wearers. Their vision ignited an artistic revolution, transforming Tykorchélli into a brand as evocative as it is stylish.

In our interview with Tykorchélli’s CEO, Corie Anziano, we explored the inspiration behind the brand, its founding story, and the journey that has brought them here. This interview is a treasure for anyone considering launching their own couture brand. Enjoy the read.

How did the vision for Tykorchélli come to life? Was there a pivotal moment that inspired you to blend couture with storytelling?

The vision for Tykorchélli was born from a shared passion for artistry and a desire to create something truly original in fashion. We felt that modern couture lacked depth and narrative, missing a connection between the clothing and the people who wore it. There wasn’t a single “aha” moment; rather, it was a series of experiences and inspirations that brought us here. Tyreeq and I would delve into art history, from the intricate patterns of the Renaissance to the majestic elegance of Rococo, and ask ourselves, “Why isn’t fashion telling these kinds of stories anymore?”

This realization inspired us to create Tykorchélli as a brand that goes beyond aesthetics. We envisioned each piece as a canvas for storytelling, designed to evoke a visceral, emotional connection. Every bead, lace detail, and fabric choice honors that vision, allowing each piece to become a unique expression of elegance, mystery, and individuality. Tykorchélli is where art, history, and couture converge, making the experience of wearing our designs as meaningful as it is beautiful.

What core values guide Tykorchélli as a brand, and how do these values translate into your creations?

At Tykorchélli, we live by three core values: artistry, integrity, and an unwavering respect for heritage. Every detail in our pieces—from carefully sourced fabrics to handcrafted embellishments—is rooted in these principles. We believe that true luxury should evoke intrigue, craftsmanship, and a touch of magic. Our clients feel this dedication in every garment, crafted not just to be worn but to be lived in and to leave a lasting impact.

What role does artistic storytelling play in your design philosophy, and why is it significant to your brand’s identity?

Artistic storytelling is at the heart of Tykorchélli’s design philosophy. For us, fashion is a form of self-expression, not mere spectacle. We avoid designs that reveal everything for shock value; instead, we believe true elegance lies in intrigue and allure—in clothing that captivates without exploitation. Each piece we create tells a story, crafted with thoughtful details, rich materials, and timeless silhouettes.

Our designs are meant to evoke emotions and connect with people on a deeper level, rather than simply grab attention. They bring out an inner strength and confidence in the wearer, embodying grace and power. This approach, rooted in artistic storytelling, defines Tykorchélli’s identity and sets us apart as a brand that respects both the art of design and the individuality of its wearer. Every Tykorchélli piece invites the world to see beauty, sophistication, and soul, proving that fashion can make a statement without saying too much.

Where do you find inspiration for Tykorchélli’s collections? Are there specific stories, cultures, or art forms that influence your designs?

Our inspirations are rich and varied, drawn from history’s most captivating moments in art and culture. We’re deeply inspired by ancient Roman sculptures, the intricate beauty of Renaissance art, and the opulent excesses of Rococo. Imagine a fusion of these stunning eras, and that’s the foundation for Tykorchélli. But our inspirations don’t stop there; religious artifacts, architectural details, and cultural symbols also influence our designs. We aim to weave these elements into creations that are unmistakably modern yet timeless—a true signature of Tykorchélli.

As partners in life and business, how do your individual strengths contribute to Tykorchélli’s creative vision?

As life and business partners, our individual strengths fuel Tykorchélli’s bold vision. My background in creative and performing arts, business, and storytelling drives the brand’s emotional depth, layering each design with narrative and meaning. Tyreeq’s expertise in sales and his appreciation for art and history provide structure, grounding our creative ideas into a cohesive brand that thrives in the luxury space. Together, we bring balance—and there’s one more source of inspiration: our children. Their curiosity, imagination, and fearless approach to life remind us to create with authenticity and wonder, adding a personal layer to everything we do at Tykorchélli.

How would you describe Tykorchélli’s signature style, and what sets your brand apart in the competitive landscape of luxury fashion?

Tykorchélli embodies grand elegance, the kind that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a modern myth. Our signature style merges luxury with a sense of royal allure, creating pieces that are deeply sophisticated yet refreshingly modern. We prioritize allure over shock value—with intricate beadwork, opulent silks, and designs that demand attention for all the right reasons. Tykorchélli pieces aren’t just eye-catching; they’re mesmerizing. We don’t follow trends; we create iconic moments.

Many fashion houses focus on trends. How does Tykorchélli ensure timelessness in its designs while staying relevant in the ever-evolving fashion industry?

While trends come and go, Tykorchélli designs are crafted to transcend. We anchor ourselves in history’s timeless beauty, reimagining it with a modern twist. By blending classic elements with innovative details, our pieces feel like modern heirlooms—always in style, yet never predictable. Our Prêt-à-Porter and Leisure Wear lines allow us the flexibility to adapt, but our commitment to timeless, powerful elegance always shines through.
